"La Flor del Desierto"

This home in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains takes advantage of the site’s incredible views and the potential southern Arizona offers for outdoor living. The owner's love for true Spanish colonial architecture took us to San Miguel De Allende, Mexico where we met with wood-workers and cantera stone masons. The doors, beams, and cabinets were all custom made for this home. The door sketches (above) reflect the clients desired carving patterns. We prepared design drawings to study the balance and proportion of the cantera columns, door surrounds, and parapet caps.
